Employees can request religious and/or medical exemptions to this requirement by following the process outlined in the offer letter.The Accessibility Project Manager works collaboratively with the Senior Director of Accessibility Outreach and Communication to support customers with disabilities. Accessibility Project Manager facilitates internal communication between sales, and key stakeholder groups internally; facilitates training and support for internal employees; and assists with testing and remediation of materials. This position is located in our Austin, TX office or remote; it will exclude the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Mississippi, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review the Accessibility Support Case queue daily across all platforms including salesforce, jira, webaccessibility@macmillan.com, accesstext network and others.Respond quickly and professionally to requests.Escalate cases where appropriate; Keep track of case statuses.Provide periodic updates to requestors to ensure communication is constant and individuals who submitted cases are confident that work is still being performed on the their respective case.Participate in defining best practices in Web accessibility for ML products and services.Oversee and assist in the development of user documentation including user manuals, reference manuals, and handouts related to Web and electronic accessibility.Maintain and promote consistent customer-service oriented accessible website and electronic communication design to the ML customer base.Assist in resolving accessibility coding issues through consultation, diagnosis and resolution. Proactively seek solutions to daily issues within the work environment.Develop training and support programs and documentation for internal employees to understand the impact of accessibility on their day to day responsibilities.Research tools and programs that will help employees meet these requirements.Participate in standard groups and professional groups.Identify professional development needs and perform other duties as assigned.Assist in auditing and updating documents for accessibility.Perform preliminary or high level web accessibility testing using common assistive technology.Assist in resolving accessibility coding issues through consultation, diagnosis and resolution.Must be able to work in fast paced, open office environment, must be able to multi-task, must be able to travel occasionally; work more than 40 hours a week as needed. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreePrevious experience in Customer Experience.Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding provision of services to people with disabilities including the ADA and Sections 503, 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG).Understanding of disability accommodations.Familiarity with assistive technology for accessibility testing.Knowledge of best practices for accessible documents, media, and other digital tools.Experience applying excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work independently and attain project goals with minimal direct supervision.Successful track record of being self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize work.Experience applying excellent organizational and time management skills.
