We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Specialist, Information & Analysis, to join our outstanding team of security professionals based in our 24/7 Regional Security Centre in Dubai, UAE. As a Security Specialist, Information & Analysis, you will undertake collection and processing of information & analysis on Mashreq & Iran, East & Southern Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia to provide timely security assessments and advice to International SOS\xe2\x80\x99 clients and internal stakeholders.
We review applications and interview candidates on a continuous basis. Following an assessment centre, successful candidates will be placed on a reserve list and recruited as opportunities arise.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect and process security information on Mashreq & Iran, East & Southern Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia through all-source research, processing and analysis ensuring client-facing security standing information is up to date, relevant and reflective of the current situation.
- Collaborate extensively with the Content Services professional community of researchers, multimedia specialists and editors to deliver a shared vision of audience-centric and multimedia digital production.
- Report and escalate security or disruption issues affecting International SOS\xe2\x80\x99 clients in line with reporting guidance and thresholds.
- Conducting research into specific security-related questions in order to maintain operational planning and readiness as required by inform International SOS\xe2\x80\x99 operational posture.
- As required, deliver safety and security trainings and workshops as well as engage in client specific security intelligence consultancy tasks as required
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of political and security landscape within Mashreq & Iran, East & Southern Africa, or Eastern Europe and Central Asia and global security issues.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.
- Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure and produce actionable insights.
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Advanced professional proficiency in Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Russian, Swahili or another regional language preferred
