Checking the bags of customers who have set off an alarm when leaving the store.
Quickly responding to incidents within minutes of them occurring.
Meeting and greeting customers who come to the store.
Acting as a visual deterrent.
Locking and unlocking the premises at the start and end of the day.
Carrying out internal and external patrols.
Being a visible security contact for customers and staff.
Informing violators of policy and procedures.
Deterring anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
Liaising with the police and law enforcement authorities.
Monitoring CCTV cameras.
Dealing with any emergencies as they arise.
Controlling entry to the premises.
Giving advice to general company employees on security related matters.
Controlling traffic in the store car park.
Writing reports up about any disturbances that may have occurred.
Setting alarm systems before locking up the premises late at night.
