We are seeking a seasoned Security Manager based in Rabat, Morocco to lead and drive security operations across West-Africa. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our operations meet the company's expected security standards, anticipate emerging threats, and execute comprehensive security strategies. You will play a key role in protecting company assets and people, while contributing to broader corporate security goals through collaboration with global and regional stakeholders.
What you will do
Manage local security operations in line with global, local and customer requirements, ensuring compliance and consistent execution across all countries in scope.
Develop, implement and oversee security tactical plans and physical security measures.
Perform security risk and vulnerability assessments and design proportionate mitigation measures in cooperation with Country Managers and internal stakeholders.
Provide protection for personnel, assets and operations; handle security incidents, lead investigations and coordinate crisis management efforts.
Drive security governance and coordinate audits (internal, external, customer).
Promote a strong security culture: deliver training and communications to raise awareness of policies and procedures among employees.
Stay up-to-date with latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements, and recommend enhancements to the security program.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various functions (Legal, IT, Compliance, Real Estate, Sourcing, Customer Units, etc.) as well as regional and global security teams.
The skills you bring
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum 10 years of experience in a security operations environment.
Proven experience managing security in high-risk countries and/or hostile environments, ideally in West Africa.
Strong background in crisis management, security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and security investigations.
Working knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001), and competence across information, physical, personnel security, business continuity and privacy.
Excellent command of English and French (verbal and written).
Well-developed professional network and understanding of local geopolitical/security context.
Demonstrated experience in a large, multinational organisation. Membership of professional security forums is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to clearly describe complex security risks and mitigation strategies in executive-ready terms.
