Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of security operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security management, with a strong background in safeguarding people, assets, and information. The Security Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing security protocols and managing a team to ensure the safety and security of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans for the organization. Manage and supervise security personnel, providing direction, training, and performance evaluations. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Propose and implement solutions for potential threats. Oversee access control systems and protocols to ensure secure entry and exit points within the premises. Respond to and investigate security breaches, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of all activities. Manage surveillance systems (CCTV, alarm systems) to monitor activities and prevent unauthorized access or illegal activities. Work closely with other departments, including IT, Facilities, and HR, to ensure a coordinated approach to security and safety. Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal security regulations and industry best practices. Prepare and present security reports to senior management and recommend improvements where necessary.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in security management, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or related roles. Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position is preferred. Security management certifications (such as CPP - Certified Protection Professional, PSP - Physical Security Professional) are highly desirable. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. In-depth knowledge of security systems, protocols, and technologies. Ability to analyze risks and create effective security strategies. Crisis management and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a corporate or industrial setting. Military or law enforcement background. Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols. Availability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required. Occasional travel may be necessary for training or site inspections.
