POSITION : Security Manager
REPORTS TO : Country Manager

Job Purpose
Ensure the station is fully secured with regards to the company and clients assets,
employees, and information. Follow up to ensure that all published procedures and
policies are fully implemented by all employees in the station and promoting a culture of
security awareness among the employees.

KEY Accountabilities:
Typical duties included are, but not limited to:
  • Ensure that all processes in the InfoHub are implemented by all concerned employees
  • Ensure the proper implementation of the policies and procedures by conducting continuous audits
  • Ensure that all employees are trained on all related procedures by supervising or conducting the security awareness training
  • Manage responsibilities and duties of all security guards
  • Ensure that all incidents are reported on timely basis
  • Ensure that all security incidents are properly investigated (gather all information, coordinate between all concerned parties, investigate the cause, inform concerned teams to inform clients, rectify the procedure or system so that the incident doesn\'t occur in the future)
  • Inform all concerned employees of any updates in the security procedures
  • Monitoring all employees wearing their ID badges and visitors to wear visitors badges
  • Coordinate the process of TAPA membership and certification where applicable.
  • Monitor and test all security systems
Other:
  • Security manager is still responsible for the overall security operation and co-ordination of security team leaders and guards of his base station.
  • Inform all concerned employees of any updates in the security policies & procedures.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the related local authorities e.g. government, fire and police agencies, security consultants and security agency officers, professional regional security managers, counterparts in nearby establishments.
  • Develop operational capability of security teams at stations.
  • Improve security policies & procedures in the station.
  • Improve communication and staff awareness Impart intelligence and useful information to stations under his supervision
  • Respond to local developments and potential flash points \xe2\x80\x9chot spots\xe2\x80\x9d
Tasks:
  • Uses structured processes and best practice methods to recruit, select, develop and manage the performance of professional and front line employees. Ensures they have the capability and resources to achieve the required objectives.
  • Implements effective security systems and processes. Use these as a basis to conduct investigations into theft, pilferage, acts of vandalism, misconduct and other activities detrimental to Aramex, its customers and employees.
  • Reports and recommends on the appropriate course of action to be taken as a result of these investigations.
  • Ensures that all courses of action followed involving employees are pursued in accordance with company policies and procedures and with full recognition of individual rights as defined in law.
  • Develops, recommends and/or implements changes to security policies and procedures focused on the protection of customer goods.
  • Leads the co-ordination of investigations into security matters with various law enforcement agencies at local levels, whilst developing and maintaining liaison with these agencies to ensure prompt response to Aramex needs.
  • Ensure that investigations are complete and that conclusion with regards to cases is communicated to HR and teams managers.
  • Constantly review policies and procedures and update processes where necessary.
BASIC/ JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree.
  • English Proficiency
  • Computer Proficiency: MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
  • Previous Experience in Health & Safety or Security is Preferred
  • IOSH training
  • NEBOSH training in Health & Safety or Fire Safety
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Security Manager in a reputable organization. A clear track record is preferable.
  • Must have in depth knowledge of fire systems & equipment
