This role will report to the Regional Senior Security Director for Visa\xe2\x80\x99s Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region (CEMEA). This position is predominantly responsible for the coordination of site security efforts at the new Dubai office, supporting the Travel Safety Program, and administrative support to the Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA regional Global Security programs. Due to the high level of travel conducted by the Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA, this role will require 24-7 readiness to respond to any issues for CEMEA locations.

Security Systems Management

• Oversight of site security systems (Access Control systems, CCTV systems, Intruder Alarm systems), to include periodic audits, tests, spot checks of security system functionality, access control database and job performance, readiness of security staffing.
• Proactive identification of issues with security systems and liaison with vendors to swiftly resolve such issues.
• Works with site engineering, Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA and Global Security Systems to identify needs and develop long range security infrastructure improvement and obsolescence plans, budgets.

Site Security Program Support

• Oversight of the management of site security programs and escalation of breakdowns to Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA.
• Develop and deploy periodic security cultural messaging, awareness, and other localized security training programs to increase employee engagement and develop proactive security ownership at the Dubai office.

General Security Administration tasks

• Administration support to the Security program in the region.
• Security administration support to business units across the region as directed by the Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA.
• Liaising with HR and vendor agency in order to manage the contracted security for the new Dubai office.

Support to the Site Security Survey Process

• Conducting Site Security Surveys (SSS) for the new Dubai office and Visa\xe2\x80\x99s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and develop continual policy compliance programs for all MENA sites.

Support to Crisis Management

• Be ready to receive calls on a 24-7 basis and respond to incidents or crises.
• Manage the upkeep of accurate staff contact data in the electronic crisis communication system. Ensure accuracy through monthly review and update of contact details for all staff across the UAE and CEMEA sites.

Support to Travel Safety Program

• Liaise with the Asia Pacific (AP) Travel Safety Team for risk identification and communication for Visa Travelers within the CEMEA region.
• Serve as liaison between Regional Senior Security Director CEMEA and travelers requiring security and logistical support while traveling within CEMEA.
• Establish and maintain process to conduct periodic security reviews of executive protection, lodging and transportation providers. Interface with sourcing to ensure only approved hotels are used.
• Maintain accurate logs to show each of the required steps has been completed for each traveler.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• Must have experience working in similar roles based in the MENA region, preferably within a western based multi-national company.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated track record of representing the Security Function through dignified, professional interaction with all levels of an organization, along with extensive interaction with external security vendors.
• Ability to address breaches in policy through credible, polite but clear communication with the individual(s) involved.
• Strong technical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, plus experience working with security systems software such as Quantum, CCURE, DVTEL. Must have the ability to quickly familiarize with and manage new systems.
• Minimum of twelve years specialized law enforcement, military and(or) corporate security experience with at least 6 years of executive protection (EP) experience in these organizations
• A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Possesses EP training and experience in the following specialties: team member, detail leader, primary and secondary vehicle driver (including armored vehicles), medical (First Aid, CPR, AED), protective intelligence, use of force and firearms
• Experience managing security details in domestic and international locations, both low and high risk
• Operational understanding and fluent usage of today\xe2\x80\x99s technology tools across all platforms (PC, tablet, smartphone-smartwatch, radio, satellite, tracking device, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity and proven ability to drive results in a complex environment and at different hierarchical levels
• Promotes collaboration and exhibits a strong commitment to team success
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Maintains a high level of physical fitness and can work nights and weekends is required and at times work uninterrupted with a 24-7 availability during protective tasks (includes working long hours without breaks)
• Demonstrated professional and relevant experience in physical security management, risk assessment, and mitigation measures
• Fluency in English required, and additional language skills preferred
• Familiarity with facility security, processes and environment as well as standard corporate procedures to ensure compliance with policy
• Ability to liaise with internal security and business groups to ensure compliance with Visa policies, internal and external regulatory requirements, government regulations, and security best practices
• Possess a current valid passport and driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
