Security Officer are responsible for protecting property or individuals by patrolling and acting as access control for visitors.
Job Duties
Ensure that guests sign in upon arrival and exit.
Make guests aware of rules that must be adhered to.
Remove trespassers or unwanted individuals from the property.
Contact the relevant authorities if a crime is committed or an accident occurs.
Report to supervisors on a regular basis.
Record any suspicious activities to the supervisor.
Take reasonable care of their own safety and health.
Take reasonable care of the safety and health of persons that may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
Co-operate with their employer with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken by the employer to protect the employee and/or comply with OSH requirements.
Report to their immediate supervisor any situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazard and which they cannot themselves correct.
Report all OSH incidents and work-related injuries.
Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interest of health, safety, or welfare.
Other Responsibilities
At all times review, understand, and follow requirements and processes of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), and report to supervision any occurrences of non-compliance for their own activities, or those observed or aware of by other employees.
Preserve the confidentiality of data and information.
Respect superiors, colleagues, and interested parties, and present a positive image of and within the community.
Perform other duties as instructed by management.
Contribute to the enhancement of interested parties satisfaction and quality outcomes.
