As a security guard, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of people and property within your assigned area. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of vigilance, responding to security incidents, and following established procedures to prevent unauthorized access and maintain order.
Key Responsibilities:
Surveillance:
Monitor the premises and keep a watchful eye for any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals.
Access Control:
Verify the identity of individuals seeking entry and ensure that only authorized personnel or visitors are allowed access.
Patrol:
Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to deter potential threats and ensure all areas are secure.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to security incidents, including disturbances, alarms, and emergencies, and take appropriate action as per established protocols.
Report Writing:
Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports, including descriptions of events, individuals involved, and actions taken.
Customer Service:
Provide a high level of customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients, answering questions and providing assistance as needed.
Emergency Response:
Act swiftly during emergencies, such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or natural disasters, to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
First Aid:
Administer basic first aid when necessary and coordinate with medical professionals for more serious injuries.
Security Equipment:
Operate and maintain security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and communication systems.
Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including the laws specific to security in Dubai and the UAE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Security training and certification (SIRA Certified).
Prior experience in security or a related field is a plus.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
Good physical condition and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Knowledge of local security laws and regulations in Dubai is preferred.
Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
