Job Title: Security Officer

Security Officer

is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets within the designated area. This includes monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, managing access points, and responding to emergencies. The ideal candidate is vigilant, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and Patrol:

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify any suspicious activities.

Access Control:

Manage and monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry. Verify identification and credentials of visitors and staff.

Incident Response:

Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies. Provide assistance during evacuations or medical emergencies.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unauthorized access.

Policy Enforcement:

Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Report violations or unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities.

Customer Service:

Interact with employees, visitors, and vendors professionally and courteously, addressing security-related concerns and providing information as needed.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure security equipment (e.g., cameras, alarms, and communication devices) is operational and reports any malfunctions.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.

Licensing:

Possession of a valid security guard license or certification (if required by local/state regulations).

Skills:

Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. Must be physically fit to handle potential confrontations or emergencies.

Working Conditions:

May require working nights, weekends, and holidays. Indoor and outdoor work environments; exposure to various weather conditions.
