The Security Guard is responsible for protecting company property, assets, staff, and visitors. The role involves monitoring premises, responding to incidents, enforcing rules, and ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:1. Access Control
Monitor and control entry/exit points.
Verify identification, maintain visitor logs, and issue passes.
Ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
2. Patrolling
Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
Check doors, windows, gates, and equipment.
Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
3. Surveillance
Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other surveillance equipment.
Respond promptly to alerts, alarms, or unusual activities.
Report malfunctioning systems.
4. Incident Response
Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, disturbances, and theft.
Contact emergency services when needed and assist until they arrive.
Secure the scene and protect evidence.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate daily activity logs.
Prepare incident reports for unusual or critical events.
Record observations and actions taken during duty hours.
6. Safety Duties
Conduct checks on fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and safety equipment.
Assist in implementing evacuation procedures.
Report any potential safety hazards.
7. Customer Service
Provide assistance and information to employees, guests, and visitors.
Maintain a professional, approachable attitude.
Handle conflicts calmly and respectfully.
