Be pro-active in the performance of your duty, anticipate potential issues that may occur and take appropriate action to prevent them from taking place.

Ensure you are familiar with the physical layout of, and the immediate surrounding of your duty post.

3.

Do not sleep while on duty.

4.

Do not smoke while on duty.

5.

Do not consume alcohol or any other unauthorized drugs or unprescribed performance reducing medication while on duty. Alcohol is strictly not allowed even before or after the duty and also in the accommodation as well.

6.

Do not socialize or interact with customers or service providers more than what is required for the effective performance of your duty.

7.

Accepting gifts and tips from customers and service providers is strongly not allowed, however, where this is unavoidable an entry must be made in the post Occurrence Book and brought to the immediate attention of the Security Supervisor.

8.

Do not leave the post unattended at any time without a security reliever and approval of Security Supervisor, followed by an entry in the post Occurrence Book.

9.

Ensure you are familiar with basic fire prevention and response procedures and systems, with special consideration for the equipment maintained within and immediate surrounding duty post.

10.

Report and handed Lost & Found Items to the Security Supervisor for processing. Make an entry in the post Occurrence Book.

11.

Your Company equipment and Client property equipment are for official duty-related use only.

12.

Coordinate with the Security Supervisor before contacting the Local Authority, apart from where there is a very serious emergency.

13.

Forward all media inquiries to Security Supervisor; do not pass on any information to the media.

14.

All suspicious activity or items are to be acted upon without delay and informed to the Security Supervisor and, if appropriate, Security Manager.
