The duties are maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and premises by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain the security of premises.
Patrol assigned areas regularly to ensure overall safety and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious behavior.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, investigate disturbances, and provide assistance when needed.
Operate security systems, including CCTV, access control, and communication equipment.
Report daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Ensure compliance with company safety and emergency procedures.
Assist in evacuations, fire drills, and other emergency situations as directed.
Provide customer service to visitors and employees by answering questions and giving directions.
Enforce rules and regulations related to the premises to deter unauthorized individuals.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Familiarity with report writing.
Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Valid security license.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
