The Faculty at HCT is currently recruiting for the Fall Semester 2023 which will commence around early August 2023. We are recruiting for the HCT system of 16 Campuses all over the UAE. The vacancies within the Faculty are for Lecturers, and Senior Lecturers (case to case basis).

Job Purpose

The Security & Forensics Program Lecturer will be responsible for developing and delivering lectures and assessments for Security & Forensics courses in the Security & Forensics program. Will work closely with other faculty members to ensure that the curriculum is current, relevant, and meets the program\'s objectives.

Program Courses covered by position (one or more):

Programming for Information Security, Cyber Law and Ethics, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery, Intrusion Detection and Ethical Hacking, Computer Forensics and Investigation, Cryptography and Network Security, Security and Risk Management, Web Application Security, Web Application Security, Telecommunications and WAN Security, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery, Computer Forensics and Investigation, Security Intelligence.

Key Accountabilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develops and delivers lectures and assessments for security & forensics courses in the higher college\xe2\x80\x99s security & forensics program in order to provide students with the technical knowledge and skills required by the industry to design, develop, and maintain com systems to the highest level of industry standards.
• Develops course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials in order to ensure student will be able to use systemic approaches to select, develop, apply, integrate and apply security principles and practices to maintain operations in the presence of risks and threats.
• Develops and implements, program policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Collaborates with other faculty members and program coordinators to ensure that the curriculum is current, relevant, and meets the program\'s objectives.
• Creates and grades assignments, exams, and other assessments.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other academic information.
• Provides feedback and supports to students to help them achieve their academic and professional goals. Maintains open communication with students about their performance in the program.
• Offers support to students outside of class, such as office hours or online discussion forums, to help them succeed in the course.
• Stays up-to-date with industry developments and trends to ensure that the program remains relevant and competitive. Conducts research to ensure that program content is up-to-date and relevant.
• Attends faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other higher college events as required.
• Serves as an academic advisor to students and participate in other student-centered activities.
• Participates in program and department meetings to discuss curriculum, assessment, and other academic issues.
• Participates in university-wide committees or initiatives related to teaching and learning, to help promote best practices and improve student outcomes.
• Serves as a mentor to other faculty members or student teachers, offering guidance and support on teaching practices and pedagogy.
• Perform any other relevant task as directed by direct superior.

Qualifications

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and/or Experience

Academic background includes a minimum of a bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as computer science.

Minimum 5 years related industrial experience, with preferred minimum of 2 years of university level teaching experience.

Required expertise includes deep understanding of: Network Security, Web Application Security, Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics Risk Analysis, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery, Cyber Law.

Licenses/Certificates (minimum 2): Pentesting / Ethical Hacking (e.g., EC-Council CEH), Digital Forensics (e.g., Access Data ACE), CISSP, CISA, Security+, CISCO Network Security, Cloud Security (e.g., CCSK)

Language Skills

English communications and presentation skills are a must.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, faculty members, clients and the general public.

• Relocation Assistance for overseas hires. (These include: Employment Visa processing, Relocation ticket, airport pick up, temporary accommodation for 15 days on arrival)
• Yearly Ticket Travel Allowance will be paid on an annual basis as per the HCT Human Resources Policy.

• Education Allowance: Annual tuition fees of AED 60,000/- per family with a cap of AED 45,000/- per child, as per applicable policies and procedures. The following fees can be claimed later on: Tuition, Books, Uniform, Registration, School Transportation fees.
• Health Insurance for Self, Spouse and dependent Children (up to 3 children) as per the HCT Human Resources Policy. The health insurance covers medicals, dental and optical as well.
• HCT is committed to promote a performance-based culture through an equitable, fair, and transparent framework of evaluating employees\xe2\x80\x9a where progression and rewards are based on performance. The results of the annual performance reviews shall be used as a base for determining the employees learning needs, career development, bonuses, and promotions, subject to management approval.
• Annual Leave subject to the approved HCT Academic Calendar:
• The start date for the Faculty position is August 07, 2023 and is subject to the issuance of the HCT visa.
• End of Service payment provided .
