EPAM is looking for a talented

Security Engineer

to join our team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on a dynamic fintech project that is transforming digital financial services across the region.


In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing and implementing security systems within our organization's IT network. You will apply a deep understanding of complex IT systems, security standards, trends and regulations to protect critical fintech solutions. Responsibilities

Develop and implement security architectures and solutions for complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management strategies Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments and security audits. Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to enforce defined security policies Stay updated on the latest security systems, standards and authentication protocols as well as best practice security products Work closely with IT network and software development teams to design and integrate robust security measures Develop and implement incident response protocols and procedures to handle security breaches efficiently and minimize impact

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or a related field Proven experience in security architecture design and implementation Industry experience in financial services or fintech security preferred Strong knowledge of application security, security protocols and security standards Proficiency with security monitoring and analysis tools, network security solutions, cloud security platforms and identity and access management systems Hands-on experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, security controls implementation and incident response Practical knowledge of cloud security architecture across major providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Experience with zero-trust architecture implementation and DevSecOps practices Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NESA, CSA STAR, SOC1/SOC2 and PCI DSS Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills

Nice to have

Certifications such as CISSP, cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or other security-related credentials Familiarity with financial compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and SOX Interest in advancing security automation and modern security engineering practices
