We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Islamic Studies teacher to join our friendly and supportive team, contributing to the teaching of Islamic Studies and supporting the teaching of Qatar History and Arabic for native-level speakers. As well as face-to-face lessons, all teachers and students use Google classroom and Google for Education to facilitate learning. All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry.

About you

With passion for your subject, you will apply a range of teaching strategies that motivate and encourage children to want to learn. We will look to you to deliver lessons that inspire children to succeed, have sound knowledge of the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education Islamic Studies curriculum, as well as a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in education standards. Applicants must be able to plan and deliver lessons in Arabic and/or English. We are a British international school and a proficient level of spoken and written English is required by all candidates to enable full integration and participation in school life. We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential. As part of the selection process, longlisted candidates will be required to complete a pre-recorded micro-teach, which you will then submit to us. The recorded micro-teach should be 10 minutes in length of your continuous teaching (live in class). Further details will be provided.
