As a Scouts Instructor you will be an outstanding practitioner who consistently demonstrates the highest standards of delivery. You will be the leading example in your role and assigned area of responsibility and go above and beyond your duties to ensure students receive the best possible learning experience.

Requirements of Scouts Instructor

Minimum of 3 years\' experience teaching/training a range of learners

Experience of working as part of a Scouts programme or similar project

Employment or relevant experience with youth groups / Experience of working with Youth Services

Experience of implementing effective Health and Safety policies

Experience of implementing a wide range of teaching/training and learning strategies

Proven track record of success as an outstanding instructor/trainer/ effective behaviour management

Experience/good understanding of the development and implementation of scout related training programs

Experience of vocational education/training

Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or field (e.g. Diploma, NVQ, BTEC)

Valid First Aid certificate (DCAS approved - this can be obtained on joining)

Non-native English speakers: IELTS 7.0 Please note, applicants who hold a level 3 qualification must also hold or be willing to obtain supplementary qualifications in the following areas (or similar):

Adventure Training

Outdoor Skills

Survival Skills

Physical Education training
