Science Teacher (Middle & High School) - American Curriculum
Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Science Teacher to deliver a rigorous, inquiry-based American curriculum across Middle and High School grade levels. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for scientific exploration, foster critical thinking skills, and prepare students for higher education and STEM-related fields. This role requires a deep understanding of NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and the ability to create a dynamic, hands-on laboratory learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum & Instruction:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in one or more areas: General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Science.
  • Develop and implement hands-on laboratory experiments, ensuring all safety protocols are rigorously followed.
  • Integrate technology effectively into the curriculum using tools such as data loggers, simulations, and digital labs.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of all students.
  • Use a variety of assessment methods (formative and summative) to evaluate student progress and guide instructional decisions.
  • Student Engagement & Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture that promotes intellectual risk-taking and collaboration.
  • Supervise and mentor students during lab activities, science fairs, and potential extracurricular clubs (e.g., Robotics, Science Olympiad).
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  • Professional & Community Collaboration:
  • Collaborate actively with the Science Department and grade-level teams to align curriculum, share resources, and discuss student achievement.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with parents regarding student progress and program offerings.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field. A Master's degree or teaching certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of successful teaching experience within an American curriculum school. Demonstrated experience with NGSS and inquiry-based learning is essential.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
