The School Principal serves as the administrative and instructional leader of the school, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment in compliance with the KHDA framework. He/She assumes full responsibility for all aspects of the school including implementation of the instructional program, school developmental plans, SEF, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, discipline system, emergency procedures, facilities operation, school/community relations, business affairs and the utilization and development of staff and faculty. He/she has to actively lead the school in emphasizing & implementing UAE\xe2\x80\x99s National Agenda vision. Job Scope
The prospective candidate is expected to have sufficient exposure to DSIB inspection frameworks and to provide overall leadership to the school from FS1 to year13 - pedagogically, and administratively as well as positioning the school as an innovative 21st Century learning environment. Key Accountabilities
  • Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the Group\'s Core Values and school governance framework.
  • Vision, Mission and Education Strategy: Establish the vision, mission and education strategy for the school and systematically implement long-term plans in order to accomplish turnover results.
  • Leadership: Provide professional leadership in terms of curriculum development in order to deliver consistently high standards of education.
  • Student attainment and progress: Ensure high-quality student achievements by raising the standard of attainment and progress and improve the quality of teaching and learning by enriching curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Pastoral Care: Create and foster a culture of Pastoral care at every level with respect to teachers and students and promote responsible stewardship in order to ensure that the educational objectives are delivered and the morale of the school community is maintained to exceptional standards.
  • Performance Management: Ensure that well-developed performance management systems are properly implemented within the school to track the performance of teachers, admin and support staff in order to maintain and enhance expected achievement standards of school performance.
  • School Procedures and Processes: Establish education and administration procedures and processes in order to facilitate the school strategy effectively and efficiently and implement all standard operating procedures as identified by the corporate office.
  • Student\'s personal and social development: Ensure that the school is designed and enriched to promote the comprehensive, balanced and value-based development of each student. Ensure that the Group Core Values are embedded and lived, in order to build a consistent and distinctive value framework for educating students.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain good customer relationships between, a) Students and Teachers b) Parents and Teachers c) the school and the community, in order to widen the educational horizons of students, build good community relations and favourably project the image of the school, promoting positively the services provided by the Leams Education.
  • Resource Management: Effectively utilise and manage all resources including staff, equipment and infrastructure in order to run a cost-effective school.
  • Human Resource Development: Ensure that the school is staffed with high-calibre professionals who are motivated, trained, developed, engaged and retained to deliver the school\'s education and business objectives. Participate in the selection of teaching admin and Support staff and organise appropriate induction and training to enhance effectiveness.
  • School Information System: Ensure that all vital information about the school and academic achievements are captured and reported so that timely and appropriate management decisions are taken.
  • Health & Safety: Effectively and smoothly administer all support facilities such as transport, clinic services, maintenance and infrastructure in order to ensure efficient and outstanding health & safety guidelines across the school, also ensuring the school complies with all compliance requirements from KHDA, DM, DHA, RTA etc.
  • Partnership with the parent community: Provide parents with timely feedback about the academic and general progress of their children in order to create a partnership to ensure students\xe2\x80\x99 growth and progress. Organise parent-teacher meetings. Provide students with feedback on their strengths and performance improvement needs so they can monitor their own progress. Promote the Groups parental engagement strategy. Maintain appropriate records for this purpose.
  • Ensure the Groups policies, procedures and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
  • Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Board of Directors.

  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behaviour.
Desired Qualifications: Master\'s Degree in Education/leadership/school management /NPQH/Master\'s Degree with a PGCE/PGDE (QTS); Must have equalization certificate for degrees Having worked as Principal or Vice-principal for a minimum of 3-5 years. Experience in UAE will be an added advantage. Proven track record in leadership and pedagogic excellence.
