Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure safety and appearance standards are met Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability Handle custodial tasks including waste disposal, window cleaning, and light maintenance to keep facilities in top condition Follow health and safety protocols diligently while using cleaning chemicals and equipment Assist with minor repairs or reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel Support overall facilities maintenance efforts to uphold a clean and functional learning environment

Requirements

Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently while following safety guidelines diligently Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
