About the Role

We are looking for a Cashier who will handle the day-to-day cash transaction. They will report to the School Accountant to ensure accurate accounting of the school\'s financial transactions. All financial aspects of the school, as directed by the School Accountant.

Receive and receipt school tuition/fee payments; and to accurately report this information to the school Accountant.

Disbursement of petty cash as instructed by school Accountant. Reconcile and balance petty cash.

Prepare banking deposits as requested.

Keep records of fee concessions and all related records pertaining to other school income.

Assist the school Accountant and Assistant Accountant in day-to-day accounting procedures. Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.

Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical workday, where the tasks require additional commitment.

Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.

About the School
