Located in the center of Ras Al Khaimah city in the suburb of Khuzam. RAK Academy (Khuzam) provides both primary and secondary British and IB learning pathways from Pre-K to Grade 12.


The Role


Looking for a positive, driven and inspirational School Assistant to join the team.


The successful candidate will contribute to the effective operational running of the school through working effectively with multiple stakeholders including students, teaching and administrative staff, parents and the school leadership team.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities

Organising and supporting logistics and refreshments for CPD, Parent Evenings, Open Evenings and other school events General logistical and troubleshooting support for all school events Collation of bus lists Distribution of exercise books, including the monitoring and tracking of numbers of books required Running of operational errands, carrying messages and collection of students as required Assisting with fire drill procedures, including the printing of daily student registers Supporting with the administrative preparation of trips and other school activities Support with phone calls home to parents Support with scheduling meetings with parents and other stakeholders Effective use of Microsoft Office and Outlook for effective communication and tracking of various elements of school operations

Reprographics, Learning Environment and Stores Responsibilities

Accurate and timely printing of all internal summative assessments, lesson resources and worksheets Accurate and timely printing of coursework components in alignment with examination specifications Printing of resources to enhance and maintain a positive learning environment throughout the campus Printing of external examination contingencies Creation, maintenance and improvement of displays throughout the campus Regular audits of the learning environment Management of stores including the collation and collection of items requested and the delivery thereof to teaching staff. Monitoring of stock levels to ensure that resources are replenished with no impact on teaching and learning

External Assessment and Student Supervision Responsibilities

Support with the setup of the examination venue/s in alignment with external examination board guidelines Movement of inclusion assessment scripts to alternate venues whilst maintaining assessment integrity Examination invigilation and supervision of students in controlled venues Supervision of students for cover lesson purposes, keeping them on task and engaged Accompanying students on trips under the guidance of teaching staff


The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

Proficiency in English is required. Experience working with children. A can-do and flexible approach A commitment to the values and ethos of the school Previous experience of working with children Bachelor or High School Certification
