Position Summary:

The Scaffolding Inspector is responsible for ensuring all scaffolding activities meet regulatory, client, and industry safety standards within oil and gas facilities. This role conducts detailed inspections, verifies compliance with CISR guidelines, and supports safe execution of construction and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, and post-installation inspections of all scaffolding structures in accordance with CISR standards and relevant oil & gas regulations. Review and verify scaffold design drawings, load calculations, and method statements to ensure structural integrity and safety. Identify hazards, defects, or non-compliance issues and provide corrective action recommendations. Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, tagging systems, and documentation required by project and HSE standards. Monitor scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling to ensure safe work practices and compliance with applicable codes. Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and HSE personnel to resolve scaffolding issues and improve site safety performance. Ensure all scaffolding materials are fit for use and properly maintained. Conduct toolbox talks, training, and safety awareness sessions related to scaffolding best practices. Support incident investigations involving scaffolding equipment or activities. Participate in audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

CISR (Certified Inspector of Scaffolding Regulations) certification--mandatory. Minimum 6 years of scaffolding inspection experience, preferably within oil & gas facilities (onshore/offshore). Strong knowledge of international scaffolding standards (e.g., OSHA, BS EN 12811, API, regional regulations). Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and HSE best practices in hazardous environments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scaffold design specifications. Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Physically fit to work at height and in challenging field environments. Valid safety certifications such as H2S, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, or equivalent (preferred).
