What Does an SAP T&RM Consultant Do?
An SAP Tax & Revenue Management Consultant plays a pivotal role in designing and supporting tax lifecycle processes for government entities. This role involves integrating SAP PSCD solutions with taxation frameworks, preparing business documentation, and guiding clients through digital transformation initiatives.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead or support implementations of SAP T&RM and PSCD modules for public sector clients
- Manage end-to-end tax processes including registration, assessment, payments, collections, and deregistration
- Conduct system integration with third-party solutions and payment gateways
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP/Microsoft vendor teams
- Analyze business requirements and prepare BRDs and due diligence assessments
- Provide training to various user levels including senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, revenue management processes, and audit readiness
- Apply Agile methodologies and support ongoing system improvements
- Lead project execution while ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Drive innovation and stay up to date on SAP technologies and public sector requirements
What Skills Are Needed for SAP Tax & Revenue Roles in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in SAP implementations, including SAP T&RM and ideally SAP PSCD
- 2+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or auditing in the public sector
- Prior work on public sector digital transformation projects
Skills:
- Strong understanding of tax laws, revenue processes, and public sector systems
- Knowledge of taxpayer lifecycle: registration, filing, payments, refunds, and deregistration
- Excellent documentation, training, and communication skills
- Strong command of English; Arabic is a plus
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile frameworks, and solution testing (manual and automation)
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and innovation thinking
- Ability to work in collaborative environments and engage with diverse stakeholders
