A leading Discount/Gifts Hypermarket located in a high-density labor area is looking for an experienced Salesman for the Vegetables/Fresh Produce Section to join our team.

Job Summary:

Salesman for the Vegetables/Fresh Produce Section

in our supermarket in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling, displaying, and selling fresh fruits and vegetables, while maintaining hygiene and assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, clean, sort, and arrange fresh vegetables and fruits on display shelves. Ensure proper rotation of stock using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method. Check and remove spoiled, expired, or damaged items regularly. Weigh, price, and package fresh produce as per customer requests. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the section at all times. Provide assistance and product knowledge to customers politely. Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of low or fast-moving items. Support during unloading and storing deliveries from suppliers. Ensure price tags and labels are updated correctly.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the

vegetables or fresh produce section

of a

supermarket

. Basic knowledge of vegetable and fruit varieties, quality indicators, and shelf life. Ability to work in cold storage or chilled environments when needed. English communication skills (Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus). Physically fit and able to handle lifting and standing for long hours.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a

UAE or GCC supermarket

. Experience with weighing scales, packaging, and fresh produce handling. Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
