Position Overview
The Sales Supervisor for Farm & Agriculture Clients is responsible for managing and expanding the company's client base within the agricultural and farm sector. This role involves supervising sales activities, building strong customer relationships, ensuring timely service, and supporting the overall growth of the farm/agricultural sales division. The supervisor will act as the main point of contact for all farm-related customers and ensure smooth coordination between the sales team, warehouse, delivery, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Management (Agriculture & Farm Sector)
Manage and maintain relationships with all farm and agriculture clients.
Visit farm clients regularly to understand their needs, product requirements, and operational challenges.
Handle client inquiries, provide product recommendations, and ensure excellent service.
Resolve any issues related to delivery, product quality, or account management.
2. Sales Supervision
Lead and supervise the sales team assigned to agricultural clients.
Assign daily sales tasks, routes, and customer follow-ups.
Ensure sales targets for farm/agriculture clients are met.
Monitor team performance and provide guidance, training, and support.
3. Sales Operations & Coordination
Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery teams for smooth order processing.
Ensure timely delivery of seeds, fertilizers, feed, tools, or any agriculture-related products.
Follow up on inventory availability and communicate with clients regarding stock updates.
4. Market Development
Identify new farm clients, distributors, and agricultural businesses to expand the customer base.
Monitor market trends, seasonal demands, and competitor activities in the agriculture sector.
Suggest new products or sales strategies based on market requirements.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for farm/agriculture accounts.
Maintain accurate client records, visits, quotations, and sales transactions.
Provide regular updates to management on client performance and sales growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum
2-5 years of sales experience
, preferably in agriculture, farm supplies, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of agricultural products (seeds, fertilizers, feed, tools, irrigation, chemicals, etc.).
Experience in handling farm clients and understanding their seasonal requirements.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Valid driving license for field visits.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
