Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Supervisor to lead our retail sales team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in sales management. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, motivating staff, and ensuring excellent customer service to drive sales growth. The Sales Supervisor will play a key role in implementing sales strategies, managing inventory, and maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service. Conduct employee orientation, training, and ongoing development to enhance team performance. Oversee interviewing and recruiting processes to build a skilled and motivated workforce. Manage payroll, bookkeeping, inventory control, and purchasing activities to ensure operational efficiency. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and pricing adjustments. Implement merchandising strategies, stock shelves, and oversee stocking procedures to optimize product presentation. Monitor store inventory levels and coordinate inventory management to prevent stock shortages or overstocking. Conduct shift management duties, including scheduling staff coverage and ensuring smooth store operations during shifts. Apply marketing techniques to promote products and increase store visibility within the community. Maintain effective communication with staff and upper management regarding sales performance, customer feedback, and operational issues. Ensure compliance with company policies related to customer service standards, safety procedures, and store policies.

Qualifications

Proven supervising or assistant manager experience in retail sales or similar environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, cashiering, cash handling, and inventory management software. Experience with merchandising, stocking, marketing, and store management practices. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including budgeting, pricing strategies, training & development, and administrative tasks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and record keeping. Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as negotiation, customer service excellence, and upselling strategies. Ability to work under pressure with effective time management skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in management or retail is preferred.
