The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring the proper display, visibility, and availability of ice cream, popsicle, and sip-up products at retail outlets. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, optimizing shelf space, executing promotions, collecting purchase orders, and supporting the sales team to enhance product movement and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Visit assigned retail outlets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, and kiosks as per route plan.
Ensure proper display of products in freezers and shelves, following planograms and company standards.
Check and maintain stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out) to avoid expiry or melting of frozen products.
Monitor freezer temperature and product condition; report any issues immediately.
Place point-of-sale (POS) materials and promotional signage as required.
Ensure all products are properly labelled and priced.
Refill stock in chillers/freezers and coordinate with van salesmen or delivery team for stock replenishment.
Collect Purchase Orders (POs) from store managers or purchasing departments and share them promptly with the sales and delivery teams.
Track and report on competitor displays, pricing, and promotional activities.
Assist in executing in-store promotions and sampling activities.
Collect feedback from store managers or customers and share with the sales team.
Prepare and submit daily reports on merchandising activity, stock status, and issues encountered.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of merchandising experience in FMCG, preferably in frozen or dairy products.
Good understanding of product display standards and cold chain requirements.
Physical ability to handle frozen items and work in chilled environments.
Basic communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Working Conditions:
Frequent travel within assigned area.
Work includes lifting, restocking, and prolonged periods in chilled or freezer environments.
May be required to work weekends or evenings during peak seasons.
