Sales Manager with Key Account Management Experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager with experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in baby and mom products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the MENA markets and hands-on experience in business development. This role involves managing key accounts, executing marketing strategies, and driving growth in new regions, with a focus on expanding the business and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across teams.
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts), adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business objectives.
Ensure the successful execution of by-market Marketing and Trade Marketing strategies
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, collaborating with internal teams and distribution partners to integrate all aspects of account management.
Monitor and analyze sales fundamentals for key customers and channels (e.g., eCommerce, baby chains, key customers, etc.) by market, adapting approaches to the unique characteristics of each market.
Manage and optimize budgets by ensuring effective spending by distributors in each market, with a strong focus on ROI.
Develop tracking mechanisms for third-party execution to ensure compliance and consistency in implementation.
Co-create annual Distributor Joint Business Plans with market partners, execute and control these plans, and participate in annual negotiations with distributors, adapting plans to the nuances of local markets.
Leverage execution and budget management reports to build and maintain long-lasting client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements with key clients, maximizing profitability while aligning with the company's strategic goals.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions tailored to customer needs and objectives.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on account status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and actionable insights.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify and capture new business opportunities within existing and new territories, with a focus on business expansion in new countries/regions.
Apply a comprehensive understanding of MENA market specifics and industry trends to drive business growth and product development in the FMCG sector, particularly within the baby and mom products category.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in other customer-facing roles, particularly in the FMCG industry (ideally with experience in baby and mom products).
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage budgets and track key account metrics effectively.
Experience in creating and managing business plans and reports.
Familiarity with Marketing and Trade Marketing strategies.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong client relationships.
Knowledge of the relevant industry, including FMCG, and market trends, with a focus on baby and mom products.
Understanding of MENA market specifics and requirements.
On-hand experience working in the MENA region is preferred
