The Sales Manager is responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role requires a strategic approach to corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and travel trade segments to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and room night goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all market segments (corporate, leisure, MICE, etc.).
Maintain relationships with key clients, travel agents, DMCs, and corporate accounts.
Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and quotations to prospective clients.
Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential clients.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Work closely with Revenue and Marketing teams to align pricing, promotions, and branding strategies.
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead of industry changes.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system.
Meet or exceed individual and departmental sales targets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of hotel sales experience in the UAE market, preferably in Ras Al Khaimah or Northern Emirates.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
Strong understanding of local corporate, leisure, and travel trade markets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Professional appearance and strong customer service orientation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, Salesforce).
UAE driving license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Arabic language skills are a plus.
Experience with hotel pre-openings or rebranding projects.
Knowledge of RAK Tourism Authority initiatives and local DMC networks.
