General Duties and Responsibilities

Sales tasks

Developing strategies to increase sales and profitability by identifying market opportunities and trends. Leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives. 3. Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients while seeking new business opportunities and expanding the customer base. Negotiating contracts and rates with customers and service providers. Managing budgets, forecasting future sales, and reporting on sales performance. Collaborating with other departments, such as customer service, operations, and finance, to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, as well as monitoring competitors. Participating in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote business development.

Pricing tasks

Negotiate and procure the best freight rates and deals from carriers for Spot, short-term, and tender-based pricing requests. Deliver comprehensive bid proposals for customers' long-term projects, negotiating the terms and conditions as required by the client. Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters. Strategize ways of increasing profit margins while keeping costs at a minimum. Follow up on quotations as needed and communicate feedback regarding competitive rate sourcing to support the closing of all business opportunities. Procuring the best rates from dependable overseas agents. Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements, and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing systems.

Education level:

BSC in Marketing, Management, or Logistics is preferred

Experience:

Minimum 05 years' experience in the container import business, at least in a managerial role.

Specific skills:

Ocean freight, Import, and North America trades are an asset.

Personal characteristics:

Details oriented - Self-motivated - excellent communication skills.
