Sales Manager - Corporate & MICE

What you will be doing:
  • Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotel for Corporate / MICE clients.
  • Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
  • Able to support hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Works closely with Revenue department to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotel.
  • Develops strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
  • Accompanies the sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.
  • Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Closely following up on all business leads within a 24 hour response time line to clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the accounts being handled, their potential, our market share within their total potential, C&B requirements, other hotel related requirements, RFP related information, RFP decision making process.
  • Take full ownership of own performance.
  • Initiate, implement and update ADPs for assigned accounts in line with the departmental guidelines
  • Responsible for 100% account penetration by establishing close relationships at all levels within the assigned accounts / territory
  • Coach Sales Executives (where applicable)
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts
  • Update Sales force / ANAIS systems with the meeting outcomes
  • Maintain an accurate database and communication
  • To comply with local legislation and be conversant and act in accordance with any such matters relating to your department.
  • To undertake Manager on Duty and Weekend Duty as dictated by the Hotel's policy
Your experience and skills include:
  • Relevant sales experience is an asset
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic. French is an added advantage.
