Sales Executive--Sea Cargo
who will play a vital role in expanding our client base and sea freight operations.
Position Summary
The
Sales Executive - Sea Cargo (Africa Market)
will be responsible for actively sourcing and securing clients involved in import/export between the UAE and African countries. The role includes building strong relationships, enhancing sea cargo sales (FCL/LCL/door-to-door), and supporting marketing campaigns targeting African trade lanes. You will also collaborate with our marketing and social media teams to create targeted outreach campaigns and ensure the company is well represented in the region.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Proactively contact the new and existing clients across the UAE and Africa for sea cargo (containerized & consolidated) shipping needs.
Promote Cannata's sea cargo services, especially door-to-door and port-to-port solutions to African countries.
Conduct regular field visits, tele-calls, and online meetings to generate and close new business.
Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to design campaigns and promotions targeting African clients.
Develop customized freight proposals based on client requirements.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure successful execution of customer shipments.
Monitor the shipment lifecycle, track feedback, and ensure client satisfaction post-delivery.
Maintain an updated CRM of prospects, leads, and client activities.
Accountable for achieving monthly net profit-based sales targets.
Must report weekly performance to the Sales Manager.
Responsible for managing all communication, quotations, and client documentation accurately.
Required to maintain a professional relationship with all assigned clients and leads.
Authorized to represent Cannata Worldwide Cargo Services in commercial negotiations with clients.
Can recommend tailored rates and proposals within approved pricing structure.
Empowered to work with marketing for content input, client testimonials, and targeted ads.
Act as a brand ambassador in the African logistics market.
Ensure timely, professional, and ethical client interactions that reflect the values of Cannata.
Promote our quality, integrity, and service reliability in every customer engagement.
Requirement
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sea cargo or freight forwarding sales, preferably with a focus on Africa.
Familiarity with key African ports (e.g., Luanda, Lagos, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, and Abidjan).
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and logistics platforms.
Experience in working with or contributing to social media campaigns is a strong plus.
Fluent in English; knowledge of French, Portuguese, or Arabic is a plus.
