Job Description

A GPU Sales Executive focused on the African market drives revenue growth by building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing sales strategies tailored to specific African markets. The role combines general sales responsibilities with specific knowledge of the African business environment, including international trade practices and cultural nuances. Core Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales:

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients across targeted African regions. This often involves a mix of cold calling, networking, and referrals, as well as managing warm leads generated from marketing efforts.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, distributors, and key stakeholders to secure repeat business and referrals.

Market Analysis & Strategy:

Conduct detailed market research to understand customer needs, identify emerging opportunities, analyze competitor positioning, and monitor market trends. Use this information to develop and execute targeted sales and marketing strategies for the African market.

Negotiation & Deal Closure:

Present products or services in a professional manner, negotiate contract terms (including price and delivery), and close sales deals.

Documentation & Compliance:

Manage end-to-end trading and export processes, including handling import/export documentation, Letters of Credit (LCs), and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Representation & Networking:

Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and business forums (both in Africa and internationally) to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Key Skills and Qualifications

Education:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

A proven track record of success in B2B or export sales, with experience in the African market being highly desirable.

Skills:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Cultural agility and a "road-warrior mindset" for travel. Strong knowledge of international trade practices Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages such as French may be beneficial depending on the target region.
