Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTIONS PERFORMED / PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:



Understand existing markets



Identify needs and requirements of customer segments

Analyze accounts under each segment

Identify opportunities to across sell other products to similar customers and increase share of business

Identify profitable customers in each segment

Contact prospective customers through secondary and primary research

o Secondary Research - Trade Directories

o Primary Research - Personal Visits, Trade fairs, Buyer seller meetings

Manage order servicing and execution



Ensure quotations are submitted within specified time period to prospective clients

Complete quotations in all respects

Attach supporting documents wherever required

Follow-up with customers for all customer inquiries generated

Negotiate term and conditions of the orders

Communicate the likely delivery date to the customer

Inform the support department about order confirmation

Ensure that all relevant documents are sent with the delivery

o Invoice

o Delivery order

Ensure receipt of Local Purchase Order from customers

Ensure that 'Application for Credit Account' is filled by all new customers who want to buy on credit

Communicate all confirmed orders to the Logistics executive and Account department

Review progress of the delivery

Manage Services



Coordinate with executive technical for managing value added services

Identify opportunities to cross sell value added services to customers

o Fleet Survey

o Cost Tracking

o Inventory Management

o On site tire related services

Confirm orders for services

Communicate the same to the technical team

Ensure planning of resources for value added services to the customers

Maintain records of services to the customers

Keep track of the regular services offered to the institutional customers in retail outlets

Oversee client relationships



Review the progress with different customers

Ask for regular feedback from customers about tires and services

Meet technicians and understand their needs and requirements

Track problem areas and complaints from customers

Ensure communication of the same to the General Manager

Ensure follow up and correction of the problem areas

Identify short and medium term requirements through regular interaction with customers

Manage Collections



Keep tract of outstanding amount of each customer

Follow-up with customers for payments

Ensure receipt of payments from customers

Forward the same to the accounts department

Manage & Process Claims



Study and understand customer complaints

Ascertain where the complaint is due to manufacturing defect

Pass on the claim benefit, if required

Inform the logistics and accounts department about claims (sales return)

Highlight issues about such claims during weekly meetings

Manage MIS



Prepare the daily sales call report

Assist the MIS Executive in preparing relevant MIS reports

Participation to company program

Participate in the company's program such as but not limited to good housekeeping habits, work productivity program, etc.

Any other job that top management deems fit for this position



Job Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Sets



Graduate with diploma / degree in marketing and sales management or any similar field

Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years in sales and marketing, preferably in automotive, or any other industrial goods related organization

Conversant with product and services selling

Strong coordination, customer orientation & networking abilities

Ability to chase aggressive targets

Ability to identify, understand and resolve customer's needs and issues

Strong sales and sales leadership skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Exposed to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month

Experience:

tire, lubricant, and battery industry sales: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:

Driving License (Required)
