Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer - Steel Fabrication is responsible for generating new business, managing existing client relationships, and providing technical and commercial support for steel fabrication projects. This role combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide pre- and post-sales advice, ensuring the company meets its revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in steel fabrication, structural steel, and metal works. Interpret customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and present cost-effective fabrication solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to prospective customers. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to determine client requirements and project feasibility. Estimate project costs and prepare quotations, bids, and tenders. Negotiate contracts, prices, delivery schedules, and terms of sale. Provide after-sales support and resolve customer issues in coordination with production and QA teams. Maintain CRM records and generate sales reports for management. Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies in steel fabrication. Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Min. 2 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in steel fabrication or construction. Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication processes, and standards (e.g., ASTM, AWS, ISO). Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
