Sales Engineer

to lead the sales and business development of

ATEX-certified electrical products

across the UAE. This is a strategic role focused on serving clients in hazardous environments such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and marine sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a sales strategy for ATEX-compliant electrical products (Zone 1/2 applications). Identify and pursue new business opportunities within EPC contractors, end-users, consultants, and industrial FM firms. Conduct site visits, product presentations, and technical consultations. Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation and proposal to negotiation and closing. Support technical submittals, compliance documentation, and tender requirements. Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to clients and ensure satisfaction. Assist with vendor registration and project pre-qualifications with key government and industrial entities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. Minimum

3-5 years of sales experience

in electrical systems or industrial products (preferably in hazardous areas). Strong understanding of

ATEX/IECEx regulations

, explosion-proof protection types (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, etc.), and zone classifications. Previous experience with oil & gas, petrochemical, or utility sector projects. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and technical presentation skills. UAE driving license and willingness to travel for client visits and project support.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with consultants and EPC teams in project design/specification stages.

Technical knowledge of sockets, junction boxes, panels, and hazardous-area enclosures. Familiarity with tender processes and vendor registrations (e.g., ADNOC, DEWA, ENOC, etc.).
