The Sales Engineer acts as a key technical advisor and product advocate, working closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise, support product presentations, and drive the sales process. This role bridges the gap between complex technical products and customer needs, ensuring solutions are tailored to each client's requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
Work closely with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
Prepare proposals, technical documents, and detailed product specifications.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to promote products.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Assist in the design and implementation of solutions for complex customer requirements.
Gather feedback from customers and share it with internal teams for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related field).
Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role.
Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
Problem-solving mindset with a customer-oriented approach.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred:
Certification in sales or engineering-related fields.
Familiarity with CAD, programming, or other technical tools (if applicable).
