Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in a retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and product knowledge.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves effectively. Assist in inventory management, including stocking shelves, conducting inventory counts, and managing product placement. Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns or questions promptly. Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team setting. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail math is beneficial. Ability to perform product demos confidently to promote merchandise effectively. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed within the grocery store environment.
