: The Safety Program Manager directly supports the Commanding General SOJTF-A, through the Chief of Staff, supporting and implementing the Commander's Safety Philosophy; and is a member of the special staff. Safety Program Manager supports SOJTF-A oversight and management of all subordinate unit's safety programs, and monitors SOJTF-A compliance to applicable safety regulations (DODI 6055 series, Army 385 series).
How the Safety Program Manager will make an impact: The Safety Program Manager provides expertise and recommendations to the Command in order to execute the safety program elements. The Safety Program Manager will provide in person briefings of the status of the safety program to the Commander, and J- Staff. The Safety Program Manager will have to make site visits to subordinate units for periodic safety inspections and assistance.
What you'll need to succeed: a. Minimum three years of experience in safety program management. b. Minimum three years of prior military experience. c. Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 OSHA regulation. d. Excellent oral and written communications skills. e. CP-12 Certification, EM385 civilian equivalent or Certified Safety Professional. f. Prior military safety officer experience. g. Secret DoD Clearance h. Must be willing to deploy to Qatar working long hours in an austere environment i. Must be able to meet CENTCOM medical and deployment requirements for OCONUS.
