Job Description

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety training, and promoting a safe work environment across all operations. The role involves identifying potential hazards, investigating incidents, and ensuring that safety standards are maintained to prevent accidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards.
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety orientation and training sessions for new and existing employees.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation.
Coordinate with management to develop emergency response plans.
Monitor the use of safety equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Promote safety awareness among employees.
Keep updated with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant Safety Certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH).
Proven experience in safety management or a similar role.
Knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and standards.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to safety management.
