Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team at our Kuwait location. The Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, implementing safety procedures, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of safety regulations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to preventing accidents and hazards. Skills & Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a safe workplace. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Collaborate with department heads to ensure safety measures align with operational needs. Provide safety training and orientation for employees, contractors, and visitors. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and promote adherence to safety standards. Conduct safety audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Communicate safety guidelines and best practices to all levels of the organization. Stay updated with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices. Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Proven experience (X+ years) as a Safety Officer or similar role. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards. Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus. Strong communication and presentation skills. Analytical mindset to assess risks and recommend solutions. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving skills to address safety challenges.
