Title:

Field Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Job Summary:

The Field HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer is responsible for supporting the


implementation and management of HSE policies and procedures during operations.


This role involves monitoring safety practices, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with


regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Site Project Manager in developing and implementing HSE plans and


procedures.


Conduct regular inspections and audits (with client HSE Representative) of work areas to


ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.


Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety rules and


protocols.


Assist in conducting risk assessments and hazard identifications for operational activities.


Assist with investigating incidents, near misses, and safety observations, and recommend


corrective actions.


Support in reviewing Method Statements and JHA/JSA.


Maintain accurate records of incidents and safety performance metrics.


Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness through regular communication


and training programs.


Ensure that all personnel are informed about emergency procedures and evacuation plans.


Support the coordination of emergency response efforts during incidents.


Ensure that first aid and emergency equipment are readily available and in good condition.


Liaise with supervisors, workers, and subcontractors to ensure HSE standards are


maintained.


Provide HSE guidance and support to site personnel and address any safety concerns.


Communicate HSE performance and issues to the facility HSE Specialist.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.


Minimum professional certification such as NEBOSH IGC.


A minimum of 10 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the Oil & Gas sector, preferably in


Qatar or the Middle East region.


Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.


Strong communication, observational, and organizational skills.


Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, high-risk environments.


Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software.
