Position Overview
The Safety Officer will oversee day-to-day health and safety operations, conduct inspections, manage safety documentation, and support continuous improvement of safety standards. The role requires strong site presence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage people and enforce discipline while promoting a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all health and safety matters within the facility
• Prepare, implement, and maintain health and safety checklists and records
• Ensure all workers use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Monitor discipline and adherence to safety rules during work and break periods
• Conduct daily facility rounds to identify hazards and near-miss risks inside and outside the premises
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to address safety issues and corrective actions
• Report any indiscipline, unsafe behavior, or misconduct to management
• Assist in organizing health and safety training, safety awareness sessions, and induction programs
• Record and maintain incident and accident reports
• Inspect, maintain, and keep records of safety equipment and tools, arranging periodic checks and repairs
• Manage first aid kits, maintain stock records, and provide first aid support when required
• Participate in evacuation drills and lead emergency evacuation activities with designated teams
• Ensure emergency exits and safety signage are properly maintained
• Monitor high-risk activities and enforce control measures
• Support waste management, housekeeping, and workplace hygiene initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by department management

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification is required
• Mid-level experience in health and safety roles within logistics, warehouse, or industrial environments
• Energetic and physically capable of performing site inspections and safety rounds
• Strong observation skills with ability to identify near-miss risks and hazards
• Excellent people management and discipline handling skills
• Proactive, self-disciplined, and committed to maintaining safety culture
• Good communication, presentation, and reporting skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
