Dubai Ready-Mix Concrete LLC is seeking a qualified and proactive
Safety Officer
to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all company sites, batching plants, vehicles, and operations.
The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, experience in the construction or ready-mix industry, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with UAE health & safety regulations and company standards.
Monitor plant areas, vehicle operations, and driver safety.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports.
Maintain safety documentation, permits, and inspection records.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and management on safety improvements.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices across all staff.
Support emergency response planning and drills.
CRITERIA - SAFETY OFFICER.
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) can be acceptable .
Certifications:
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) - Mandatory.
IOSH Managing Safely.
First Aid & Firefighting Training - essential for emergency response.
Experience:
Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer (ready-mix or construction preferred).
Prior experience in construction or ready-mix concrete operations within the UAE is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and Dubai Municipality safety regulations.
Ability to conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations.
Excellent communication skills for safety training and awareness programs.
(MS Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook...Etc).
Good communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage).
Physical & Mental Fitness:
Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery.
Good decision-making under pressure during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor HSE policies at the batching plant.
Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce corrective actions.
Prepare and submit safety reports to management.
Train staff on PPE usage, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
