We are currently looking to hire an experienced

Safety Officer

to join our team immediately.

Major Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures specific to the steel fabrication industry. Conduct safety training sessions for employees on proper equipment use, hazardous material handling, and emergency procedures. Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions. Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility, equipment, and work areas. Investigate accidents and safety incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness. Communicate safety information and promote a culture of safety among employees. Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Manage safety equipment procurement, maintenance, and usage. Compile safety data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.

Skills Required:

Regulatory Knowledge:

Understanding of OSHA and industry-specific safety regulations.

Risk Assessment:

Ability to identify hazards and assess risks.

Safety Training:

Experience in conducting employee training on safety procedures.

Incident Investigation:

Skills in investigating accidents and implementing corrective actions.

Emergency Response:

Developing and implementing emergency response plans.

Compliance Management:

Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining records.

Equipment Management:

Knowledge of safety equipment procurement and maintenance.

Attention to Detail:

Detail-oriented for thorough inspections and record-keeping.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

Foundation in science, math, and technical subjects.

Bachelor's Degree:

Preferably in occupational health, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field.

Certifications:

OSHA certifications, NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, CHST, CIH, CSHM, or CSA are beneficial.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a related field.
