We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to ensure the effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies at interior fit-out project sites. The Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with local HSE regulations, conducting safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety among all site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce health and safety policies in line with legal requirements and company standards. Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices; report and follow up on corrective actions. Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with all relevant safety regulations and site rules. Deliver toolbox talks, safety induction training, and awareness programs for new and existing employees. Maintain HSE documentation including risk assessments, incident reports, safety checklists, and permits to work. Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adequate stock and proper usage. Investigate accidents, near misses, or unsafe incidents; identify root causes and recommend preventive actions. Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to promote safe work practices. Ensure emergency procedures and firefighting equipment are in place and functional. Stay up to date with legal requirements and best practices in construction and fit-out safety.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field. Certified Safety Officer (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) - Mandatory. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction or interior fit-out projects. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and site safety practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in preparing safety reports and documentation. Ability to train and lead site personnel on safety compliance.
