We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team and oversee on-ground installations and setup safety during our events. The Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in event setup and execution, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough risk assessments for each event setup, identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate safety measures.

- Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and protocols for event installations and setups.

- Provide safety training and briefings to all staff and contractors involved in event setup, emphasizing best practices and emergency procedures.

- Monitor on-ground activities during event setup to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

- Conduct regular inspections of event venues and installations to identify and address any safety concerns or hazards.

- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role, preferably in the events or construction industry.

- Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and standards, particularly those related to event management.

- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate staff.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.

- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
