We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Safety Officer

to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance on our interior

fit-out projects

. The ideal candidate will ensure that all site activities are conducted in accordance with local safety regulations, project requirements, and company HSE policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the fit-out project site to identify potential hazards. Enforce safety policies and procedures among workers, subcontractors, and visitors. Conduct safety inductions and training for new workers and subcontractors. Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to safe work practices. Prepare and maintain accurate safety reports, incident logs, and risk assessments. Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented. Coordinate emergency drills and maintain first-aid and fire safety equipment on site. Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants to promote a culture of safety. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, civil defense, and municipality regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Safety Officer role, specifically in

interior fit-out or construction

projects. Certified in NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / IOSH or equivalent HSE qualification. Knowledge of local safety regulations and legal requirements. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficient in reporting and documentation.

Preferred:

Experience with commercial, retail, or office fit-out projects. First Aid and Fire Warden certifications. Multilingual (Arabic, Hindi, or other languages is a plus).
