Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with project Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
Conduct site inspections to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure workers follow safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and comply with safety signage.
Organize and lead Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and awareness training sessions.
Assist in the preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Enforce permit-to-work systems for hot work, confined space, excavation, and other high-risk tasks.
Report near-misses, incidents, and accidents; support investigations and prepare documentation.
Maintain records of safety violations, corrective actions, and incident logs.
Monitor the proper handling, storage, and labeling of hazardous materials.
Conduct emergency drills and support the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and machinery meet safety compliance standards.
Participate in internal HSE audits and inspections with clients or consultants.
Track and report HSE performance indicators such as man-hours worked without LTI.
Support the implementation of the project HSE Plan, in coordination with the Safety Manager.
Review subcontractors' HSE compliance and performance.
Verify proper implementation of waste management, fire prevention, and first aid facilities.
Identify and report any unsafe practices to supervisors and project managers.
Ensure safety signs, fencing, lighting, and walkways are in place and maintained.
Promote a positive safety culture among workers and supervisors.
Assist during external HSE audits, authority inspections, and client visits.
Qualification
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety) - Mandatory.
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent - Preferred.
First Aid, Firefighting, and Emergency Response Certification - Required.
Minimum 5-7 years of HSE experience, preferably in Qatar or GCC.
Good knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Qatar Labor Law.
Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 45001, and local HSE regulations.
Strong communication skills to interact with workers, supervisors, and clients.
Capable of preparing inspection reports, incident reports, and safety observations.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
Physically fit for regular site inspections and monitoring.
Ability to work under pressure and manage safety at fast-paced construction sites.
Valid Qatar ID and Transferable Visa
